Mexican Tortillas

  1. Blend flour and salt, then add water gradually to form a soft dough.
  2. Divide into small balls about 2 inches in diameter.
  3. Place a ball of dough between two sheets of waxed paper in a tortilla press and flatten to about 5 to 6 inches in diameter Place tortilla in ungreased cast iron skillet or comal and cook over moderate heat about 2 minutes on each side, until slightly browned.
  4. Makes 1 dozen tortillas.
