Mexican Tortillas
- 2 cups masa harina (corn flour)
- 1-1/3 cup warm water (approximately)
- 1 tsp. salt
- Blend flour and salt, then add water gradually to form a soft dough.
- Divide into small balls about 2 inches in diameter.
- Place a ball of dough between two sheets of waxed paper in a tortilla press and flatten to about 5 to 6 inches in diameter Place tortilla in ungreased cast iron skillet or comal and cook over moderate heat about 2 minutes on each side, until slightly browned.
- Makes 1 dozen tortillas.
