Miesner Sisters' Sour Cream Drop Cookies Recipe

• 2 c. sugar
• 1 c. shortening
• 1 egg
• 1 tbsp. grated orange peel
• 3 1/2 c. flour
• 1 teaspoon salt
• 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
• 1 teaspoon baking pwdr
• 1 c. lowfat sour cream

1. Cream sugar and shortening till fluffy.
2. Add in egg and grated peel.
3. Beat well.
4. Fold in lowfat sour cream.
5. Sift together dry ingredients and add in to creamed mix.
6. Mix well.
7. Drop by rounded tsp.
8. on ungreased cookie sheet.
9. Flatten slightly with bottom of glass dipped in a cinnamon-sugar mix.
10. Bake at 375 degrees for 12 to 15 min.
11. Makes 7 dozen.
