Tequila-Marinated Hanger Steak
- 1/2 cup white tequila
- 1/4 cup fresh lime juice
- 1 tablespoon coarse salt
- 1 tablespoon
- 1 tablespoon sugar
- 2 dried habanero peppers, crumbled
- 2 hanger steaks, (2 pounds each)
- 6 red bell peppers, cut into 1/2-inch wide strips
- 6 green bell peppers, cut into 1/2-inch wide strips
- 8 medium onions, cut into 1/2-inch wide strips
- 2 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil
- 1 teaspoon salt
- Combine the tequila, lime juice, salt, black pepper, sugar and habaneros in a large resealable plastic bag and shake until well-mixed.
- Add the steaks and shake again.
- Make sure that both steaks are well-coated with marinade.
- Refrigerate for 8 hours.
