James Beard's Persimmon Bread

• 3 1/2 cups flour, all-purpose
• 1 1/2 teaspoons salt
• 2 teaspoons baking soda
• 1 teaspoon mace ground
• 2 cups sugar
• 1 cup butter melted
• 4 large eggs lightly beaten
• 23 cup cognac
• 2 cups walnuts chopped
• 2 cups raisins, seedless

1. Combine ingredients into bread machine and press "Start".
