German Creamed Bratwurst
- 1 cup sliced fresh mushrooms
- 1 cup chopped onion
- 2 tbsp. butter
- margarine
- 2 tbsp. all purpose flour
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 2-1/2 cup milk
- 1 (12) pkg. fully cooked bratwurst, sliced in 1/2 inch pieces
- 1/4 cup snipped parsley
- Toast points
- In skillet cook mushrooms and onion in butter till vegetables are tender but not brown.
- Stir in flour, salt, and 1/8 teaspoon pepper.
- Add milk all at once; cook and stir till mixture is thickened and bubbly.
- Stir in sliced bratwurst and parsley.
- Heat through.
- Serve on toast points.
- Makes 4 servings.
