Amaranth Pie Crust Recipe

  1. In a large bowl, mix the flour, arrowroot, nuts and cinnamon.
  2. In a c. mix the oil and water.
  3. Blend in the flour with a fork.
  4. Stir till a ball can be formed.
  5. Add in more water if nec.
  6. Oil a 9" pie plate.
  7. Either pat the dough into the plate or possibly roll between 2 pcs of wax paper.
  8. Handle it carefully - its fragile.
  9. Prick with a fork.
  10. For an unfilled crust bake at 400 for 12 - 15 minutes.
  11. Cold before filling.
  12. Filled crust - bake empty shell at 400 for 3 minutes.
  13. then add in filling and bake as reccommended.
