Cheese Casserole

  1. Cut bread slices into 4 squares.
  2. Fit 1/3 of bread tightly in bottom of greased 2-quart casserole.
  3. Sprinkle with salt and pepper, 1/3 of onion and 1/3 of cheese.
  4. Press down, repeat instructions twice.
  5. Beat eggs, add mustard, Worcestershire sauce and milk.
  6. Mix well.
  7. Pour over casserole contents, cover and chill overnight.
  8. Remove from refrigerator 2 hours before serving and drizzle with melted butter.
  9. One hour before serving, bake in a preheated 325u0b0 oven for 40 to 50 minutes or until firm in center.
  10. (If you double this recipe, use only 5 cups milk.) Serves 8.
