Filling and Healthy! Delicious Soboro Tofu

  1. Finely chop the Japanese leek.
  2. Chop up the top tip also to use it as a condiment.
  3. Rinse it with water in a colander, and drain it on paper towels.
  4. Drain the firm tofu and heat it up in the microwave at 600W for 2 minutes.
  5. Drain the water after heating it as well.
  6. Wrap the tofu with paper towels and top it with a weight to push out more excess water.
  7. (Combine the ingredients)
  8. Heat the sesame oil on a skillet, saute the grated ginger until fragrant and add the ground chicken.
  9. Once the chicken is browned, season it with salt and pepper.
  10. When the chicken cooks through, add the chopped Japanese leek and stir-fry the ingredients.
  11. Add the ingredients from Step 3.
  12. Take the weight off the tofu, wipe off the excess water with paper towels, then transfer the tofu onto a serving plate.
  13. Top the tofu with the stir-fried soboro crumbles.
  14. Sprinkle the bonito flakes and the chopped green leek, and it is done!
