Filling and Healthy! Delicious Soboro Tofu
- 1/2 Japanese leek
- 2 blocks Firm tofu
- 1 -1 1/2 teaspoons Grated ginger
- 1 Sesame oil
- 150 grams Minced chicken
- 1 dash Salt and pepper
- 1/2 tbsp Sugar
- 1 tbsp Mentsuyu
- 1 tbsp Soy sauce
- 1 tbsp Water
- 1 small package Bonito flakes
- Finely chop the Japanese leek.
- Chop up the top tip also to use it as a condiment.
- Rinse it with water in a colander, and drain it on paper towels.
- Drain the firm tofu and heat it up in the microwave at 600W for 2 minutes.
- Drain the water after heating it as well.
- Wrap the tofu with paper towels and top it with a weight to push out more excess water.
- (Combine the ingredients)
- Heat the sesame oil on a skillet, saute the grated ginger until fragrant and add the ground chicken.
- Once the chicken is browned, season it with salt and pepper.
- When the chicken cooks through, add the chopped Japanese leek and stir-fry the ingredients.
- Add the ingredients from Step 3.
- Take the weight off the tofu, wipe off the excess water with paper towels, then transfer the tofu onto a serving plate.
- Top the tofu with the stir-fried soboro crumbles.
- Sprinkle the bonito flakes and the chopped green leek, and it is done!
