Coca-Cola Meatloaf
- 2 pounds Ground Chuck
- 1 teaspoon Onion Salt
- 1 teaspoon Garlic Salt
- 1/2 cups Ketchup
- 1 whole Large Egg
- 1/2 cups Coca Cola
- 1 cup Plain Bread Crumbs
- 1/4 cups Ketchup
- 1.
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
- 2.
- In a large bowl, combine the first 6 ingredients using your hands.
- Then add in the bread crumbs and continue to mix until well combined.
- We dont care for Italian bread crumbs, but feel free to use them instead if you prefer.
- 3.
- Spray a standard size loaf pan or meatloaf pan with cooking spray.
- I like to use The Perfect Meatloaf Pan, since it allows the fat to drain to the bottom.
- 4.
- Shape the meat mixture into a loaf and press into the pan.
- If using The Perfect Meatloaf Pan, be careful not to press the meat into the pan too firmly since there are holes in the insert.
- 5.
- Bake for 45 to 60 minutes.
- We like a good crust on our meatloaf, so I always bake mine the full 60 minutes.
- 6.
- Remove the pan from the oven.
- Brush the remaining 1/4 cup of ketchup on the top of the loaf.
- Use more or less to suit your tastes.
- 7.
- Place the pan back in the oven and bake another 15 minutes to caramelize the ketchup.
- 8.
- Remove the pan from the oven and allow to cool slightly before slicing.
- We like to have our meatloaf with green beans and sour cream and chive mashed potatoes.
