Fruited Oat Scones

  1. Heat oven to 375 degrees.
  2. Combine flour, oats, sugar, baking powder, salt, & xanthum gum.
  3. Cut in margarine until mixture resembles course crumbs.
  4. Stir in fruit.
  5. Add milk & egg.
  6. Mix just until moistened.
  7. Shape dough to form a ball.
  8. On lightly greased cookie sheet, pat out dough to form 8 inch circle.
  9. With sharp knife, score round into 12 wedges.
  10. Sprinkle with combined sugar & cinnamon.
  11. Bake 20-25 minutes or until golden brown.
  12. Break apart & serve warm.
