Roasted Pears With Amaretto
- 8 buerre bosc pears, halved and cored
- 2 tablespoons maple syrup
- 12 cup runny honey
- 1 vanilla bean, split, seeds scraped out
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 12 cup Amaretto
- Preheat oven to 160 C.
- Combine all ingredients in bowl, coating pears well.
- Place pears cut side down in a roasting dish.
- Pour remaining liquid over.
- Roast 35 mins, basting every 10 minutes.
- Allow to cool slightly.
