Easy Microwave Macaroni and Cheese
- 2 cups (dry) Whole Wheat Macaroni Noodles
- 3 Tablespoons Butter
- 2 Tablespoons Flour
- 1 teaspoon Salt
- 1/2 teaspoons Dry Mustard
- 1/4 teaspoons White Pepper
- 5 drops Red Pepper Sauce
- 1- 1/2 cup Skim Milk
- 2 cups Reduced Fat Shredded Cheddar Cheese
- 3 Tablespoons Melted Butter
- 1/2 cups Bread Crumbs
- 1) Boil noodles according to package instructions, drain, and set aside.
- 2) Meanwhile, melt 3 tbsp butter in microwave in casserole dish, blend in flour, salt, mustard, pepper, and pepper sauce.
- Stir in milk.
- 3) Microwave on high for 6 minutes (or until thickened), stirring every 2 minutes.
- Stir in cheese until well blended.
- 4) Stir breadcrumbs into remaining 3 tablespoons of melted butter and sprinkle on casserole.
- 5) Microwave for 5 minutes at 70% power.
