Double Corn Bake

  1. In a skillet, brown beef with onion.
  2. Drain.
  3. Add ketchup, salt, chili powder and oregano.
  4. Cook for 5 minutes.
  5. Cool slightly.
  6. With a spoon, press meat mixture into the bottom and up the sides of a greased 10-inch pie plate.
  7. Spoon corn into crust.
  8. Prepare corn bread batter according to package directions.
  9. Stir in 2 tablespoons melted butter.
  10. Spread over corn.
  11. Bake at 425F for 20 minutes.
  12. Meanwhile, combine tomatoes, cornstarch and remaining butter in a saucepan.
  13. Cook and stir for 5 to 10 minutes or until thickened.
  14. Cut pie into wedges and serve with sauce.
