Low Fat- Chicken-Fried Steak With Potatoes & Gravy

  1. Preheat oven to 400F.
  2. Coat a pan with nonstick spray.
  3. Spread potatoes in pan.
  4. Bake until tender, 15-18 minutes, turning once.
  5. Cut meat into 4 pieces and trim off all fat.
  6. Dip meat in egg and water mixture, then in crumbs, coating both sides well.
  7. Spray a skillet with nonstick spray.
  8. Brown meat on both sides until no longer pink, about 8 minutes.
  9. Place meat on plate, cover and keep hot.
  10. In a bowl whisk milk, flour, basil and pepper until smooth.
  11. Pour into the hot skillet and cook until thickened stirring constantly.
  12. Serve with meat and potatoes.
