Shrimp Alfredo Pizza
- 2 tablespoons Land O Lakes Butter
- 1 teaspoon finely chopped fresh garlic
- 1 tablespoon all-purpose flour
- 1/3 cup milk
- 1/8 teaspoon ground nutmeg
- 6 (3/4-ounce) slices Land O Lakes Deli 4 Cheese Italian Blend, cut into quarters
- 1 (10-ounce) pre-baked thin pizza crust
- 8 ounces frozen medium (41-50 count) cooked shrimp, thawed, patted dry, tails removed
- 1/4 cup seeded chopped tomato
- 1/4 cup chopped fresh cilantro
- Crushed red pepper, if desired
- Heat oven to 450F.
- Melt butter in small saucepan until sizzling; add garlic.
- Cook over medium heat 1 minute.
- Stir in flour; cook 1 minute.
- Add milk and nutmeg; continue cooking, stirring occasionally, 5-6 minutes or until thickened.
- Add cheese, stirring until melted.
- Spread sauce evenly over crust to 1 inch from edge; top with shrimp and tomato.
- Bake directly on oven rack 8-9 minutes or until sauce bubbles and begins to brown.
- Sprinkle with cilantro.
- Let stand 5 minutes before serving.
- Serve with crushed red pepper, if desired.
