Oriental Pork Chops
- 6 -8 pork loin chops
- 1 (13 1/2 ounce) can pineapple chunks
- 12 cup molasses
- 12 cup vinegar
- 12 twp. salt
- 14 teaspoon ginger
- 12 teaspoon soy sauce
- 2 teaspoons cornstarch
- 1 tablespoon cold water
- 1 green pepper, cut in large pepper
- Trim fat from chops and place them in baking pan.
- Bake at 300F for 45 minutes to 1 hour or until cooked.
- Twenty minutes before chops are cooked, drain off fat and cover with sauce.
- SAUCE:
- Drain pineapple; reserve 1/2 cup of syrup.
- Combine molasses, vinegar and pineapple syrup in a saucepan.
- Stir in salt, ginger and soy sauce.
- Blend cornstarch and cold water until smooth; add to molasses mixture.
- Add green pepper.
- Place over medium heat.
- Bring to boil; simmer 5 minutes.
- Add pineapple chunks.
- Garnish with apple slices.
