Oriental Pork Chops

  1. Trim fat from chops and place them in baking pan.
  2. Bake at 300F for 45 minutes to 1 hour or until cooked.
  3. Twenty minutes before chops are cooked, drain off fat and cover with sauce.
  4. SAUCE:
  5. Drain pineapple; reserve 1/2 cup of syrup.
  6. Combine molasses, vinegar and pineapple syrup in a saucepan.
  7. Stir in salt, ginger and soy sauce.
  8. Blend cornstarch and cold water until smooth; add to molasses mixture.
  9. Add green pepper.
  10. Place over medium heat.
  11. Bring to boil; simmer 5 minutes.
  12. Add pineapple chunks.
  13. Garnish with apple slices.
