Cranberry Rum Brie

  1. Preheat oven to 450F.
  2. Peel off top rind of brie, leaving 1/4-inch edge (leaving sides/bottom of brie intact).
  3. Place brie in pie plate or shallow oven-proof dish.
  4. Combine sugar, extract, berries, and nutmeg; top brie with mixture, and sprinkle with chopped nuts.
  5. Bake 5-7 minutes or until cheese softens.
  6. Place brie on a serving plate; offer several appetizer knives so guests can scoop the melted brie onto crackers or toasted baugette slices.
