Marinated A.1. Steak with Chipotle Cream Sauce
- 1/2 cup A.1. Original Sauce, divided
- 1 beef flank or skirt steak (1-1/2 lb.)
- 3/4 cup BREAKSTONE'S or KNUDSEN Sour Cream
- 1 chipotle pepper in adobo sauce, chopped
- 6 tostada shells
- 3 cups shredded lettuce
- 1 large tomato, halved, sliced Safeway 1 lb For $1.29 thru 02/09
- 2 jalapeno peppers, sliced
- Pour 1/4 cup of the steak sauce into resealable plastic bag.
- Add steak; seal bag.
- Turn bag to evenly coat steak.
- Refrigerate at least 30 minutes or overnight to marinate.
- Meanwhile, mix remaining 1/4 cup steak sauce, sour cream and chipotle pepper until well blended; cover.
- Refrigerate until ready to use.
- Preheat grill to medium heat.
- Remove steak from bag; discard marinade.
- Grill steak 16 to 18 minutes or until cooked through, turning occasionally.
- Remove from grill; cut into bite-sized pieces.
- Fill tostada shells with steak, lettuce, tomatoes and jalapeno peppers.
- Serve topped with the sour cream mixture.
