Alluring French Toast Topped with Strawberry Sauce
- 2 slice Sliced bread
- 1 Egg
- 80 ml Milk
- 2 tbsp Sugar
- 1 Vanilla oil
- 8 small / 4~5 large Strawberries
- 1 tbsp Sugar
- 1 Lemon juice
- Besides the ingredients for the strawberry sauce, this is all you need (just like regular French toast).
- Thoroughly mix together the egg, sugar, milk, and vanilla oil in a bowl.
- Cut the bread to your desired size.
- Let the bread soak in the egg mixture.
- While you wait, make the strawberry sauce!
- In a small pot, combine the strawberries, sugar, and a few drops of lemon juice.
- Let it sit until the moisture starts to come out and the sugar melts into it!
- If using large strawberries, cut them in half.
- Simmer on low heat until the strawberries become soft to make the sauce.
- Be careful not to over-cook, or the liquid will completely evaporate!
- While making the strawberry sauce, cook the French toast over medium-low heat!
- It's easy to over-fry it, so be careful and watch the color of your French toast!
- Once the bread has cooked, transfer to a plate and top with the warm strawberry sauce.
- Enjoy!
- If you dust it with powdered sugar, it becomes even more amazing!
