Harvest Table Apple Pie Recipe
- 2 all ready pie crusts
- 6 med. apples, peeled, cored, thinly sliced
- 1 tbsp. cornstarch
- 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 3 tbsp. sugar
- 3 tbsp. butter, melted
- 1/3 c. Karo blue label syrup
- Fit bottom crust into 9 inch pie pan.
- Fill with sliced apples.
- Combine cornstarch, cinnamon, salt, sugar, melted butter, and Karo syrup; pour over apples.
- Cover with top crust.
- Bake in 425 degree oven 45 min, or possibly till crust is browned and apples are tender.
- Remove from oven.
- Combine topping ingredients; spread over top of pie.
- Return to oven for 10 min, or possibly till topping is bubbly.
- NOTE: Put this on a dripping pan when baking the topping, it runs!
