Harvest Table Apple Pie Recipe

  1. Fit bottom crust into 9 inch pie pan.
  2. Fill with sliced apples.
  3. Combine cornstarch, cinnamon, salt, sugar, melted butter, and Karo syrup; pour over apples.
  4. Cover with top crust.
  5. Bake in 425 degree oven 45 min, or possibly till crust is browned and apples are tender.
  6. Remove from oven.
  7. Combine topping ingredients; spread over top of pie.
  8. Return to oven for 10 min, or possibly till topping is bubbly.
  9. NOTE: Put this on a dripping pan when baking the topping, it runs!
