Peppered Steak
- round steak, cut in strips
- paprika
- 3 peppers, cut in strips
- green onions
- 3 tomatoes, quartered
- rice
- 2 Tbsp. butter
- 2 cloves garlic
- 2 cans beef broth
- 3/4 c. soy sauce
- 3/4 c. water
- 3 Tbsp. cornstarch
- Use long strips of round steak, put paprika on and let set. Cut peppers in strips.
- Cut up green onions and quarter the tomatoes.
- Cook rice.
- Brown garlic in butter in skillet with meat and cook until brown.
- Pour beef broth on steak after browned. Simmer this for 30 minutes.
- Add onions and peppers; cook for 10 minutes.
- Mix soy sauce, water and cornstarch together and pour on top of skillet; thicken to a clear, brown sauce.
- Add tomatoes and cook for 5 minutes.
- Put over rice and serve.
