A-B-C Grahams

  1. Heat oven to 350.
  2. In a large food processor fitted with a metal blade or by hand, mix flour, brown sugar, wheat germ, baking soda, salt, and cinnamon.
  3. Cover and process until well combined.
  4. Add butter (use the tines of a fork if mixing by hand).
  5. Cover and process until fine crumbs form.
  6. Add honey, milk, and vanilla.
  7. Cover and process until mixture starts to hold together.
  8. If necessary, place in a bowl and work with your hands until dough is smooth.
  9. Divide in half and flatten each half to a disk.
  10. On a lightly floured work surface, roll each half of dough to a 9"x8"-inch rectangle.
  11. Cut each into 18 3"x1 1/3"-inch rectangles.
  12. Arrange them 1"-inch apart on ungreased cookie sheets.
  13. Using the flat end of a skewer, poke an A-B-C design in each rectangle.
  14. Sprinkle each lightly with granulated sugar.
  15. Bake about 8 minutes or until lightly browned.
  16. Transfer cookies to wire racks, immediately re-poke A-B-C design if necessary, and let cool completely.
