Perfect Flaky Piecrust

  1. Place the flour, sugar, and salt in a medium mixing bowl.
  2. Add the shortening and mix with a fork or pastry cutter until crumbly.
  3. Combine the egg, vinegars, and water, add to the flour mixture, and mix until the flour is moistened.
  4. Divide into 4 portions, shaping each into a disc.
  5. Wrap each in plastic and refrigerate at least 30 minutes and up to 1 week.
