Turkey Burgers 5 Ww Pts.
- 1 lb ground turkey
- 2 teaspoons garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon cajun seasoning
- 14 teaspoon black pepper
- 3 tablespoons light teriyaki sauce
- 1 tablespoon water
- cooking spray
- 1 large onion, cut into 1/4 quarter inch slices
- 1 teaspoon olive oil
- 4 hamburger buns
- 8 slices tomatoes
- 4 lettuce leaves
- Combine the first four ingredients in a large bowl.
- Divide the turkey mixture into 4 equal portions, shaping each portion into a 1/2-inch thick patty.
- Combine teriaki sauce and water in a small bowl.
- Place a large nonstick skillet coated with cooking spray over medium heat until hot.
- Add the onion slices to the skillet, cover and cook 10 minutes or until the onion is golden brown.
- Stir in 1 Tbsp teriaki mixture.
- Remove onion from pan and keep warm.
- Add olive oil to pan.
- Add patties and cook five minutes over medium heat.
- Add 3 Tbsps teriaki mixture to pan and carefully turn patties over and cook for three minutes or until they are golden.
- Place one patty on one half of each bun and top with 1/4 cup onion, 2 tomato slices, and 1 lettuce leaf.
- Top with remaining buns.
