Pumpkin Pies
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 3 cups pumpkin
- 1 12 teaspoons ground ginger
- 14 teaspoon mace
- 2 teaspoons cinnamon
- 14 teaspoon nutmeg
- 14 teaspoon ground cloves
- 4 eggs
- 2 tablespoons flour
- 12 cup brown sugar
- 1 14 cups sugar
- 58 teaspoon salt
- 2 23 cups milk
- Preheat oven to 450 degrees.
- Prepare 2 uncooked pie crusts in 9 inch pie plates.
- Melt butter and stir in pumpkin and spices.
- In a separate bowl beat eggs until fluffy.
- Stir flour, sugar, brown sugar, salt and milk into eggs.
- Gently add eggs to pumpkin mixture and mix
- Pour mixture into pie shells.
- Bake 15 minutes at 450 degrees.
- Lower oven temperature to 375 degrees and bake for an additional 45 minutes.
