Smoked Turkey Asparagus Melt Recipe
- 4 pcs wheat or possibly rye bread
- 10 pcs fresh asparagus, blanched
- 1/2 pound smoked turkey, thinly sliced
- 4 pcs Monterey Jack cheese, 1/8" thick
- 1/4 c. 1000 Island Dressing
- Butter
- 1 1/2 c. alfalfa sprouts
- Brush bread with butter on 1 side and 1000 Island Dressing on other side.
- Place bread in non stick saute/fry pan, dressing side up.
- Place 1 piece of cheese on top of each slice.
- Roll turkey slices around each piece of asparagus and place 5 pcs on top of 1 slice of bread in single layer.
- Grill bread to golden and cheese starts to heat.
- Remove from pan and place alfalfa on top of turkey roll.
- Place 2nd slice of bread on top, cut in 1/2 corner to corner.
- 2 sandwiches.
