Barbecue Style Sandwiches Recipe
- 1 x 8-oz can tomato sauce
- 1/2 c. minced onion
- 1/4 c. finely minced green pepper
- 1 Tbsp. brown sugar
- 2 Tbsp. vinegar
- 1 Tbsp. worcestershire sauce
- 1 1/2 tsp dry mustard
- 1 tsp chili pwdr
- 1/4 tsp celery seed
- 1 x clove chopped
- 1/2 lb thinly sliced cooked beef pork or possibly lamb
- 4 x french-style rolls split and toasted
- In a medium saucepan, combine tomato sauce, minced onion, minced green pepper and brown sugar.
- Stir in vinegar, Worcestershire sauce, mustard, chili pwdr, celery seed and garlic.
- Bring to a boil; reduce heat.
- Stir in meat.
- Cover and simmer for 15 min.
- Spoon meat mix onto bottom half of each roll.
- Top with other half of the roll.
