Chicken Spaghetti(Serves 10)
- 1 (4 lb.) chicken
- onion
- bay leaf
- 14 oz. spaghetti, break short
- 2 Tbsp. chicken broth
- 3 Tbsp. flour
- 2 c. buttered crumbs or potato chips
- 1/4 tsp. black pepper
- 1 stalk celery, chopped
- 2 large onions, chopped
- 1 green pepper, chopped
- 1 small jar pimentos
- 1/2 lb. grated Cheddar cheese
- salt to taste
- Cook chicken with onion, bay leaf and salt.
- Chill, bone and chop.
- Cook spaghetti in chicken broth.
- Use 2 tablespoons of chicken broth.
- Add flour, salt, pepper, 1 cup chicken broth and 1 cup milk for white sauce.
- Dice celery, onions, pimentos and green pepper.
- Add cheese.
- Mix all ingredients together. Put in a shallow pan.
- Cover with buttered crumbs or potato chips.
