Dutch Indies Curry Recipe
- 2 c. uncooked rice
- 1 green pepper
- 1 can shrimp
- 1 lg. onion
- 2 celery hearts
- 1 pound grnd beef
- 1 heaping teaspoon curry pwdr
- 1 stick butter
- Cut vegetables and onions in small pcs.
- Cook rice, drain and fluff dry.
- Heat butter in Dutch oven, add in meat and brown.
- Then add in minced vegetables and onions.
- Cook over low heat.
- Add in shrimp and curry pwdr.
- Salt to taste.
- Finally add in rice and mix well.
- Cover and allow to steam a few min.
- Serves: 6 to 8.
