Pear Cranberry Sauce
- 6 bartlett pears, ripe
- 1 12 cups water
- 2 cups fresh cranberries, washed and picked over
- 2 tablespoons sugar
- 2 teaspoons ginger, grated
- 14 teaspoon salt
- 1 cinnamon stick
- Peel pears and grate using the largest grating holes.
- Add to large saucepan with remaining ingredients.
- Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and let simmer for 30 minutes.
- Make sure to stir throughout to avoid burning or sticking to the bottom of the pan.
- Serve warm or at room temperature.
