Bitter Melon Hamburgers Topped with Melted Cheese
- 1 Bitter melon
- 2 slice Cheese
- 1 tbsp Vegetable Oil (for frying)
- 1 Flour (To coat when frying)
- 1 Soy sauce (for the sauce)
- 300 grams Ground mixed beef
- 1/4 Onion
- 1/2 Eggs
- 1 tsp Honey (Sugar or Mirin are also OK!)
- 1 dash Salt and pepper

- 1 tsp Soy sauce
- Cut the bitter melon into roughly the same size, and remove the insides with a spoon.
- Slice it into about 7-8 mm.
- Rub with salt (not listed), and rinse well.
- (I don't like the bitter flavor, so I lightly boil the bitter melon in salt water).
- Thoroughly knead the hamburger patties, and stick a slice of bitter melon on both sides.
- Cover in flour used for frying.
- Add oil to a pan, and brown the patties on both sides.
- Top with cheese, and cover the pan with a lid.
- The hamburgers are done once the cheese has melted .
- Simply drizzle with soy sauce when eating.
