Gems Caramel Corn
- 6 quarts Popped Popcorn
- 16 Tablespoons Butter
- 1 cup Brown Sugar
- 1/2 cups Karo Syrup
- 1 teaspoon Salt
- 1/2 teaspoons Baking Soda
- 1 teaspoon Vanilla
- Preheat oven to 250 degrees F.
- First youll need to pop your popcorn, so that you have 6 quarts of popped.
- Spread popcorn in a single layer across multiple baking sheets.
- Mix butter, sugar, Karo syrup and salt in a heavy pan.
- Heat to boiling.
- Allow to continue boiling for 5 minutes.
- Then remove from heat and add baking soda and vanilla.
- Stir well.
- Pour the caramel mixture over popcorn and stir to coat as evenly as possible.
- Bake in your preheated oven for one hour, stirring every 15 minutes.
