Will's Eggnog from Scratch (Alcoholic)

• 12 eggs, seperated
• 1 12 cups powdered sugar
• 1 quart rich milk
• 1 cup cognac
• 1 cup dark rum
• 1 large orange
• 1 lemon
• 1 quart heavy cream
• grated nutmeg

1. Beat egg yolks with sugar until thick.
2. Stir in milk, cognac and rum.
3. Beat eggwhites stiff and fold into mixture.
4. Chill for a few hours.
5. Peel orange until pure orange rind left.
6. Cut the rind into matchsticks 1 1/2 inches long.
7. Grate lemon rind.
8. Whip cream until just beginning to thicken and fold into mixture.
9. Fold in lemon rind and 1/2 orange rind.
10. Sprinkle remaining orange and nutmeg on top.
