Glazed Apple Pie Slices Recipe
- 2 double pie crust recipes
- 1/2 c. warm water
- 1/4 c. corn flake crumbs
- 10 c. peeled and thinly sliced apples
- 1 c. sugar
- 2 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 2 tbsp. butter
- 1 egg, beaten
- 2 tbsp. lemon juice
- 1 c. powdered sugar
- 1 - 2 tbsp. water
- Roll 1/2 of pie crust into 15 x 12 inch rectangle.
- Place in 15 x 10 inch pan.
- Sprinkle corn flakes over dough.
- Toss apples with lemon juice, layer over dough.
- Combine sugar, cinnamon and salt.
- Sprinkle over apples.
- Dot with butter.
- Roll remaining dough into 15 x 12 inch rectangle and place on top of apples.
- Prick crust with fork.
- Brush top crust with egg.
- Bake for 60 to 65 min till golden brown.
- Combine powdered sugar and water and beat till smooth.
- Drizzle on hot pastry.
- Cold completely.
- Cut into 48 bars.
