Santa's Whiskers

• 1 cup butter softened
• hard margarine softened
• 1 cup granulated sugar
• 1 tsp. vanilla
• 2 tbsp. milk
• 2-1/2 cup all purpose flour
• 3/4 cup finely chopped candied cherries, red and green
• 1/2 cup chopped pecans
• 1 cup flaked coconut

1. Mix first 7 ingredients together well.
2. Shape into 2 rolls 2 inches in diameter.
3. Add a bit more milk if too dry to hold together.
4. Roll in coconut.
5. Cover and chill overnight.
6. Next day slice 1/4 inch thick.
7. Arrange on ungreased cookie sheet.
8. Bake in 375 F. oven for about 10 to 12 minutes or until edges are lightly browned.
9. Makes 4 to 5 dozen.
