Spinach Meatballs
- 1 1/2 pound beef ground
- 1/2 cup onions chopped
- 1 each eggs
- 1/4 cup parmesan, parmigiano-reggiano cheese, grated grated
- 1 each spinach frozen package, chopped, thawed, drained
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 cup vegetable stock or chicken or beef
- 8 ounces tomato sauce
- 1/2 cup wine dry, red
- 1 tablespoon cornstarch
- Mix all ingredients, form small balls, place in 1 1/2 qt casserole.
- Mix broth, tomato sauce, wine and cornstarch.
- Pour over meatballs.
- Bake covered in 350F (180C) oven for 40 to 60 minutes.
- Can be served over noodles, or great for parties served in crockpot.
