Easy Cheesy Mac & Cheese

  1. Heat oven to 350F.
  2. Cook macaroni as directed on package, omitting salt.
  3. Meanwhile, melt butter in large saucepan on medium heat.
  4. Add onions; cook 3 min.
  5. or until crisp-tender, stirring occasionally.
  6. Add flour; cook and stir 1 min.
  7. Gradually add milk; cook 5 min., stirring constantly.
  8. Simmer on low heat 10 min., stirring frequently.
  9. Remove from heat.
  10. Stir in 2 cups cheese.
  11. Drain macaroni.
  12. Add to cheese sauce; stir until evenly coated.
  13. Spoon into casserole dish sprayed with cooking spray; sprinkle with remaining shredded cheese.
  14. Bake 20 min.
  15. or until heated through.
