Crispy Samosas with Easy Homemade Wrappers

  1. Make the wrappers: Place the flour and salt into a bowl.
  2. Add the vegetable oil and water.
  3. Combine and knead until smooth.
  4. Cover with plastic wrap and let sit for 30 minutes.
  5. Make Filling: 1.
  6. Boil the potato until soft and then mash it.
  7. Add the curry powder and salt for flavor.
  8. Parboil the green beans, cut into 1cm pieces, and add to the potato.
  9. Make Filling 2: Place the vegetable oil and ground meat into a small pot.
  10. Cook until the meat changes color and then add the minced onion.
  11. Flavor with ketchup and salt, add the flour, and stir everything together.
  12. Divide the wrapper dough into 4 portions, roll out each portion into a circle, and cut in half.
  13. Fold over the cut edges to form a circle and stuff with the filling.
  14. Make four potato filled samosas and four ground meat samosas.
  15. Use a fork to tightly seal the edges closed.
  16. Deep-fry in medium-hot oil until crispy.
  17. Then they are done.
  18. You can also try a baked version.
  19. They are easily and healthily baked in the oven.
  20. The crispy texture doesn't change.
  21. You can also optionally dip in yogurt sauce, sweet chili sauce, or any other sauce.
  22. Yogurt Sauce: Combine 3 Tbsp yogurt, 1/2 tsp honey, 1/2 tsp lemon juice, and a pinch of salt.
  23. Sprinkle with 1 tsp dried parsley and that's it.
  24. Or try combining some feta cheese and broccoli for another version.
  25. Sprinkle with lots of black pepper and it will become a perfect snack for drinking.
  26. In order to make them bite-sized, divide the dough into 6 portions for a total of 12 wrappers.
  27. Then just deep-fry them until crispy.
  28. Since the cheese has plenty of salt, they taste fine as is.
  29. To use the leftover wrapper dough: Roll it out thin and long.
  30. Sprinkle with ground black pepper and salt.
  31. Roll it up and cut it in half lengthwise.
  32. Fold it in half and twist.
  33. Toast in the toaster oven to get a crunchy and spicy snack.
  34. Have samosas with some yogurt salad
  35. You can also enjoy the twisted stick with some salad.
  36. Have it with a mint yogurt sauce too.
