Red Onion and Apple Chutney with Blue Cheese
- 1 teaspoon olive oil
- 2 large red onions, sliced
- 2 large red apples, sliced
- 1/2 cup cider or HEINZ Distilled White Vinegar
- 1/4 cup water
- 1/3 cup brown sugar
- salt and pepper, to taste
- 250g creamy blue cheese
- 125g CAPTAIN'S TABLE* Water Crackers
- Heat oil in a fry pan and cook red onions until lightly browned.
- Add apples, vinegar and water; simmer until apples softened.
- Stir in brown sugar, salt and pepper.
- Simmer until thickened.
- Serve the chutney on water crackers with a wedge of blue cheese.
