Beef Chow Mein Bake Recipe
- 1 1/2 pound grnd round steak
- 1 1/2 c. celery, minced
- 1 med. onion, finely minced
- 1 can tomato soup
- 1 can cream of mushroom soup
- 2 tbsp. soy sauce
- 1 (3 1/2 ounce.) can mushrooms, minced
- 2 c. chow mein noodles
- 1/2 c. cashew nuts or possibly water chestnuts (optional)
- Brown beef.
- Add in celery and onion; saute/fry till transparent.
- Empty into a large bowl.
- Stir in soups, soy sauce, and mushrooms.
- (At this point, the mix can be refrigerated for later use.)
- Heat oven to 350 degrees.
- Add in chow mein noodles.
- Pour into baking dish.
- Bake, uncovered, for 30 min.
- Sprinkle with remaining noodles and nuts.
- Bake, uncovered, an additional 10 min.
- Serve over warm, fluffy rice.
