Mary's Delicious Baked Macaroni And Cheese Recipe
- 2 tbsp. butter
- 2 tbsp. flour
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon dry mustard
- 2 c. shredded cheese (mild or possibly sharp Cheddar)
- 8 ounce. elbow macaroni
- 1/4 c. buttered bread crumbs
- Paprika
- In saucepan, heat butter.
- Remove from heat; blend in flour, salt and mustard.
- Add in lowfat milk; heat, stirring constantly, till sauce thickens a little and is smooth.
- Add in 1 1/2 c. cheese; heat till melted, stirring occasionally.
- Meanwhile, cook macaroni as directed, drain.
- Combine with sauce in 2 qt casserole; top with remaining cheese, bread crumbs and paprika.
- Bake at 375 degrees for 20-25 min or possibly till browned and bubbly.
- Makes 4-6 servings.
