Boiled Rib Kalbi Recipe
- 12 pcs ribs of beef, 4 inches long
- 1 tbsp. sesame oil
- 2 tbsp. soy sauce
- 2 tbsp. sugar
- 1 teaspoon ginger
- 1/2 piece stone-leek
- 5 garlic cloves
- 2 tbsp. chopped pine nuts
- 1 c. water
- Water chestnuts (optional)
- Wash ribs with clean water and remove fat.
- Tenderize by cutting and pounding with back of knife.
- Mix sesame oil, soy sauce, finely cut up stone-leek, garlic, sugar, ginger and water.
- Put 1 Tbsp.
- sesame oil mix on each rib.
- Simmer with mild heat for 3 hrs in a stewpot.
- Top layer should be replaced with bottom layer every hour to cook proportionately.
- Put water chestnuts on the cooked ribs as you like.
- Serves 4.
