Pasta with Creamy Garlic & Walnut Sauce
- 450 g whole wheat farfalle (bow-tie pasta) (about 5 cups), uncooked
- 1-1/2 cups light cream (5% fat)
- 1 cup walnut pieces, toasted
- 3/4 cup Cracker Barrel Finely Shredded 100% Parmesan Cheese, divided
- 1 clove garlic, peeled
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1 tsp. ground black pepper
- Add pasta to large saucepan of boiling water; cook 10 min.
- or just until tender.
- Meanwhile, place cream, walnuts, 1/2 cup of the cheese, the garlic and salt and pepper in blender; cover.
- Blend until smooth.
- Drain pasta; return to pan.
- Add sauce; mix lightly.
- Cook on medium heat 3 to 5 min.
- or just until heated through.
- Sprinkle with remaining 1/4 cup cheese.
