Meatballs in Tomato Sauce
- 750g beef mince
- 1 cup fresh breadcrumbs
- 1 onion, grated King Sooper's 1 lb For $0.99 thru 02/09
- 1/4 cup finely chopped fresh parsley
- 1 egg, lightly beaten
- 2 slices bacon, chopped Rite Aid 2 For $7.00 thru 02/06
- 1 tablespoon KRAFT Bonox
- 1 teaspoon crushed garlic
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 700g jar good quality garlic and onion tomato pasta sauce
- 1/2 cup water
- 375g cooked pappardelle or other pasta
- 1/4 cup KRAFT* Grated Parmesan Cheese, to serve
- Combine the mince, breadcrumbs, onion, parsley, egg, bacon, Bonox* and garlic until well mixed.
- Roll tablespoons of mixture into balls.
- Heat the olive oil in a large frypan, cook the meatballs over medium heat until browned.
- Remove, and drain well.
- Heat the pasta sauce and water in a frypan over medium heat until simmering.
- Return meatballs to sauce and cook for 10 minutes or until cooked through.
- Serve meatballs and sauce over hot pasta.
- Sprinkle with parmesan to serve.
