Spiced Biscuits
- 12 cup granulated sugar
- 1 12 teaspoons ground cinnamon
- 2 teaspoons ground allspice
- 1 12 teaspoons ground nutmeg
- 1 (7 1/2 ounce) package refrigerated biscuits (10 per package)
- oil (for deep frying)
- In a shallow bowl mix together the sugar, cinnamon, allspice, and nutmeg.
- Set aside.
- Heat oil to 350 and carefully fry the biscuits, in small batches, until golden brown on all sides.
- Drain slightly and roll in sugar mixture.
- Note: The sugar mixture can be placed in an airtight container.
- It can last up to one month (not that it ever does at my house.
- It is great on toast, sprinkled in hot tea, or added to white cake batter).
