Honey Pork Oriental
- 2 lb. boneless pork chops
- 3/4 c. water
- 3 Tbsp. soy sauce
- 1 tsp. ginger
- 4 carrots, sliced thin
- 1 chopped green pepper
- 1 pkg. brown gravy
- 1/4 c. honey
- 2 Tbsp. red wine vinegar
- 1 tsp. garlic salt
- 1 chopped onion
- 2 Tbsp. oil
- Cut the pork into 1-inch squares.
- Brown the pork in 2 tablespoons oil, stirring frequently, for 15 minutes.
- Combine 1 envelope brown gravy mix, 3/4 cup water, 1/4 cup honey, the soy sauce, red wine vinegar, ginger and garlic salt.
- Add to the skillet.
- Cover and cook for 20 minutes.
- Add carrots and cook for 15 minutes more.
- Add the green pepper and onion; cook for 10 minutes.
- Serve over rice.
- (Very sweet and tender.)
