  1. in a large pot over medium heat cook beef, onion, garlic, celery and green pepper till meat is no longer pink, drain fat, add beer and spices simmer 20 minutes
  2. combine the rest of ingredients with the cooked beef mixture
  3. cover and let simmer 60 - 90 minutes stirring occasionally
