Cheese Pops
- 1 can (8 Oz. Can) Crescent Rolls
- 8 ounces, weight Cheese, Cubed
- 18 cups Roasted Sesame Seeds
- 1.
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees (or whatever your can of crescent roll calls for on the side of the can).
- 2.
- Cut crescent triangles into 3 equal pieces (24 total).
- I havent had a lot of luck with the flavor of store brands.
- I recommend the name brands on this one.
- 3.
- Cut your favorite cheese (I used cheddar here) into 1/2 inch cubes (sometimes I just buy a bag of already cubed cheese).
- Use any flavor you like to make these cheese bites exciting.
- 4.
- Wrap one piece of crescent dough around one cube of cheese.
- Try to press the crescent so that no cheese is showing.
- Some will still seep out of some of the pops, but this prevents too much from leaving the crescent shells.
- 5.
- Roll each crescent ball in the roasted sesame seeds (I found a large container of these at a nearby Asian grocery store).
- 6.
- Place each roll into a mini-muffin pan.
- Bake for about 12 minutes until golden brown (they usually take about the same time the crescent roll calls for to bake completely).
- There is usually extra cheese left over.
- You could easily double the recipe with another can of crescent rolls, and some more seeds.
