Winter Pot Roast

  1. Stir together the tomato sauce, ketchup, steak sauce, garlic, salt, sugar and Worcestershire sauce.
  2. Pour half of the sauce into a greased (sprayed) crock pot.
  3. Place pot roast on top of the sauce.
  4. Thinly slice the onions and arrange them around the meat.
  5. Wash potatoes and add to the pot around the sides of the meat.
  6. Wash the carrots, cut into thick matchsticks and place on top of everything.
  7. Pour the remaining sauce over the meat, potatoes, onions and carrots.
  8. Cook in the crock pot all day (about 6 to 8 hours) on low.
  9. After it has cooked all day, pour some of the sauce into a small sauce pan.
  10. Simmer on medium heat to reduce a bit for a thicker sauce.
  11. This is optional but I think it is worth it.
  12. To serve, pour sauce over meat, carrots and potatoes.
  13. Top with parsley (optional).
  14. Enjoy!
