Homemade Chorizo
- 2 lb. ground pork
- 1/2 cup ground red chili peppers
- 1/2 tsp. black pepper
- 1/4 tsp. ground cloves
- 1/4 tsp. ground cinnamon
- 1/4 tsp. ground oregano
- 1/4 tsp. ground cumin
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1 tsp. oregano leaves
- 1/2 cup vinegar
- 1 clove garlic, crushed
- Combine all the ingredients except the pork in a blender and puree.
- Knead this mixture into the pork until it is throughly mixed together.
- Cover and refrigerate for 24 hrs.
- To cook, crumble the chorizo in a skillet and fry.
- If desired, add eggs and/or potatoes.
- Drain before serving.
